Chart notes
VINTAGE COWBOY pressed the runner up along the backstretch, vied under coaxing in the two path midway around the far turn, swung out to the four path entering the shortened lane, continued to duel with the stubborn inner pacesetter, and inched ahead late. SILVER SYNDICATE showed the way in the two path turning into the backstretch, tipped towards the rail and came under pressure approaching the far turn, battled with the outer eventual winner around the far turn, dug in gamely to hold a narrow advantage entering the short stretch, but was edged out in the final sixteenth. FERAL rated in the two path, was coaxed along in the three path around the far turn, angled out to the five path at the top of the lane, and kept on to hold show honors. MACHADO bumped with an inner foe at the start, was unhurried in the three path, moved up while being nibbled along around the far turn, tipped out to the six path entering the stretch, and stayed on but just missed show. FOOLISH MORTAL bumped with an outer foe at the start, trailed in the four path, improved around the far turn, but made no impact. JUST JO JO raced in range along the inside, was pushed along from the rail around the far turn, but gave way in the stretch. STONE COUNTY raced off the pace in the two path and did not threaten. CENTERLINE stalked in the three path up the backstretch but retreated.
