Chart notes
HOT CURRENCY was away alertly, stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid late on the backstretch, took a narrow lead in the three path midway through the turn, kicked clear into upper stretch, powered away under one pop of a right-handed crop into the final furlong then was eased up outside the sixteenth-pole while much the best. GREEK GODDESS settled off the pace, drafted in the two path for most of the turn, was given her cue coming to the five-sixteenths pole, angled to the four path late on the bend, pursued the winner while further out in the track in the stretch and was second best. IRISH FORTUNE had her saddle adjusted behind the gate, raced just off the pace on the outside, chased in the four path for most of the turn then moved to the five path, dropped back into upper stretch and weakened but was clear for the show. MISS JANE HATHAWAY went to the front and showed the way, was asked under threat while inside to the two path on the turn, lost the advantage to the winner on that bend, dropped back into the stretch and tired. ROCK STEADY BABE dropped back after the start then angled in under urging, saved ground on the turn and was no factor.
