Chart notes
PRINT broke out at the start and was corrected, raced five paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking three then two wide with five furlongs to go, tucked inside into the turn and came under coaxing near the quarter pole, continued in the inside route into upper stretch, rallied up the rail and had COPIOUS come in slightly and was placed in tight when seizing command just inside the three-sixteenths pole, then drew clear under a drive to prevail. PAUILLAC coaxed from the gate, chased four then three wide under a ride from three furlongs out, swung three to four wide into upper stretch, proved no match for the top one while keeping on to secure the place honors. COPIOUS coaxed from the start, cut the pace two then three wide coming under urging near the quarter pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch under growing threat to the inside, came in slightly placing PRINT in tight when displaced from command just inside the three-sixteenths marker, then weakened in the late stages. FATEFUL LIGHTNING coaxed from the gate, chased two then three wide under a ride with seven-sixteenths to go, angled five wide into upper stretch, weakened. TEUTONIC chased along the inside under encouragement from the seven-sixteenths pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch backing away, faltered in the drive.
