Chart notes
NAUTICAL MOON tracked the early leaders three wide to bid into the far turn, dueled outside NORTHWIND through that bend into the lane and edged clear late. NORTHWIND made the pace on a short lead about the two path, resisted the winner when challenged through the far turn but could not handle that one late. MIDNIGHT RULES saved ground in reach of the pace to the far turn, angled out into the lane while moving up but could not threaten the top pair. HUSKER BUTCH was shuffled back after the start, was five wide early, continued outside in reach of the pace but lacked the needed late rally. STIFF DRINK was not a threat racing out from the rail. MONGOLIAN MOON was always back. EL SIETE LEGUAS stalked the leaders two to three wide and tired. HARDLY MISCHIEVOUS was close up to the pace three wide and tired in the far turn.
