Chart notes
SENIOR OFFICER stalked the leading pair from the inside early on, moved out to the five path at the three furlong pole, loomed a danger while ranging up entering the lane, bid shortly after, gained an advantage nearing the final furlong and drove clear. BRING THE SMOKE prompted the leader from the four path, bid and forged an advantage nearing the lane, dug in as an outer rival bid in upper stretch, got headed reaching the furlong grounds and was second best. LONG POUR pursued from the three path, chased in the four path entering the lane, stayed on mildly and edged show in the final furlong. LUCIUS VERUS broke a beat slow, saved ground whlie trailing then failed to factor. SARGENT SULLY set the pace in the two path as an outer rival applied pressure, got headed by that one then a wider challenger entering the lane, gave way then weakened between horses in the final furlong.
