BOURBON BETTY angled in while going to the front, was well rated while showing the way, controlled the action while inside on the turn, was asked turning into upper stretch, responded well when put to a right-handed crop at the furlong marker and held under steady urging. I'M VERY SWEET stalked the pace on the outside, was given her cue in the two path on the turn, chased the winner under a drive in the stretch and was second best. MERMAID veered out at the start then was corrected by the rider, settled on the outside, was roused near the seven-sixteenths pole, went around the turn in the three path, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed kick but narrowly earned the show. LIAM'S DIVA was sent hard from the gate then taken under restraint early, raced just off the pace while rated, saved ground while asked on the turn, chased under a drive in the stretch and also lacked the needed kick then just missed the show. AMENDED DREAMER broke out and hit the gate, settled at the rear on the outside, was roused in the two path on the turn, swung out to the five path into the stretch, remained on her inside lead until the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead and lacked the needed response. PAY THE BILLS (FR) dropped back then settled towards the rear, saved ground under urging on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the two path then moved further out and failed to threaten.
