Chart notes
RUNAWAY JACK bumped with an inner foe at the start, trailed in the two path, improved while being pushed along from the rail around the turn, swung out to the seven path at the top of the lane, rallied down the center to draw ahead of the inner pacesetter passing the sixteenth pole, and drew clear. Q B NINE set the pace in the two path, waited confidently between foes around the turn, came under pressure in the three path at the top of the stretch, kicked on to edge clear passing the furlong grounds, but got overtaken by a late charging outer foe around the sixteenth to be second best. SIR EXTON chased in the five path, ranged up to bid from the four path midway around the turn, tipped out to the five path entering the lane, and kept on for show. SHOULDABOUGHTDABAR rated in the three path, was ridden around the turn, swung from the five path into the stretch, but made no final bid. HEY BIG UN bumped with an outer foe at the start, prompted the pace from the rail, was cued passing the three-eighths pole, but faded down the lane. AUTIE stalked between foes in the three path but gave way in the stretch, appeared to have bled, and walked off
