Chart notes
RED HOT CATALINA bobbled slightly shortly after the start, set the terms of the race just off the rail under pressure from BLUE ICE, shook that one off in the upper stretch, kept on task to deny a late rally from an inner foe. MISS VALENTINA tracked the pace five wide, saved ground through the turn to enter the stretch along the inside, found best stride late but just missed. BLUE ICE pressed the pace setter from the three path, flattened out after reaching the stretch. THAT THING YOU DO pursued the pace six wide in the early stages, entered the stretch four wide, made no bid. FREE CHARGING stalked the pace five wide, was checked back at the nine sixteenths pole, trailed through the turn, passed tiring foe in the stretch. ADONCIA opted to be the early trailer, began advancing along the inside after the half mile marker, faded in the stretch.
