Chart notes
RAFAROO was well rated on the inside and came two wide off the turn to make a bid and kicked clear leaving the furlong marker and held HUMAN DESIRE safe to prove best under left handed crop urging. HUMAN DESIRE was rated along two wide and eased out leaving the five sixteenths and came four wide off the turn to make a bid but could not get to the winner while running on willingly, second best. WITTINGLY was bumped at the break, settled early and came under coaxing three wide on the far turn and came five wide into the lane and was up for the show award. COGNOSCENTI was settled along the inside and was two wide by the quarter pole but had no late punch while racing one paced. PEPPERMINT MAN vied for the early lead three to two wide and then went on to set the pace on the inside, headed by the furlong marker and weakened. HILLBILLY BOB was bumped at the start, vied for the lead on the inside, then switched out and pressed the pace two to three wide and weakened in the lane.
