DEPOSIT INSURANCE settled while saving ground in the early stages, tracked the pace from the inside along the backstretch, got caught in tight into the far turn and waited for room nearing the quarter pole, angled to the three path into upper stretch, closed willingly into the final sixteenth, just missed for the win and held for second. GOSPEL NATIVE broke alertly and assumed early command, carved out modest fractions while prompted along the backstretch, showed the way into the far turn then met the bid of PONTOTOC into upper stretch, dueled gamely while holding a narrow lead into the final sixteenth, was bested in deep stretch and held for third. RIDING DOUBLE allowed to settle early, saved ground into the backstretch, shifted to the two path into the far turn then was caught in tight nearing the quarter marker, angled four wide for the drive, was gaining late but could not reel in the leaders in deep stretch, good effort. DAWN STRATEGY took back into the first turn, saved ground along the backstretch, kept an inside path to the far turn, swung to the three path then was caught in traffic into upper stretch, churned on into the final sixteenth but could not muster the needed late response. EMPIRE RANCH lunged at the start and was last away from the gate, unhurried to the backstretch, weaved through rivals nearing the quarter marker, spun five wide to upper stretch, could not sustain a bid to the final sixteenth and flattened out late. DOUBLE R CAT settled outside of rivals to the first turn, widest along the backstretch, kept a wide path to the far turn, ran in pursuit five to six wide to upper stretch and gave way in the drive. GOOD PRODUCT settled just off of the early pace, tracked between rivals into the backstretch, well placed to the far turn, lost ground nearing the quarter pole, empty in the stretch drive.
