ONE TIME MARK settled comfortably behind the pacesetters, moved out to the clear in the run down the backstretch, ranged up four-wide in upper stretch, found best stride late, and was up in the final yards. SWEET RETREAT was allowed to settle after the break, raced in the back half of the field through the early stages, steadily advanced into contention through the middle stages, waited for room in upper stretch, surged late when clear, and just missed. DOWN THE ISLANDS settled in mid-pack, moved up in range on the far turn, had every chance through the stretch, but was outfinished. SPECIALSORTASTORM made all the early running, dug in under threat on the far turn, went to clear lead in the stretch, but was unable to last. GOLD FRONT pressed the early pace two-wide, finished with some interest but was not quite doing enough in the final yards. PROVEN ADVOCATE raced mid-pack two-deep, had some trouble with the lead change in upper stretch, but straightened out and was gaining ground on the leaders in the stretch but ran out of time. DETTORI was held up along the rail near the back, kept to the inside to the stretch, then ran on some late to improve. MOHAYMEN HOLIDAY hopped at the start, spotting the field a head start, raced three to five wide and was unable to threaten. VINO TEXAS JESS raced near the back with only one rival behind through the early stages, then lacked a finish. CHIVALROUS raced near the back and never offered a late bid. MCDUDE raced in mid-pack and tired in the stretch. STORMY AT MIDNIGHT was a bit rank as the rider attempted to temper the early speed, pulled up close three-wide down the backstretch, weakened on the far turn, faded to last, and was eased to the wire and walked off.
