Chart notes
JACK SIXPACK saved ground early, moved three wide going up the backstretch, angled out between rivals to come four wide into he lane closed well to move clear late. BERGHEIM floated wide into the first turn, remained outside to rally six wide into the lane and closed late. PAYNTED BLUE floated out in the first turn to make the pace from midtrack, continued on the lead into the lane and could not contain the top pair late while saving third. AXEL STEEL was in reach three and four wide but could not produce the needed late run. ROME'S CONQUEST was forced five wide in the first outside the leader, moved in to press the pace three wide and weakened. BEEZER was four to six wide and lacked a solid closing bid. SPIRIT'S MISCHIEF failed to mount a rally four wide. NULLARBOR saved ground and weakened.
