Chart notes
DRIVING MONEY broke in at the start and bothered inner rival, went up to dispute the early pace from the inside, dueled COMFORT CASH into the backstretch, shook free of that foe into the far turn, drew off into the lane and was ridden out in the late stages, won as much the best. SOUTH OF RICHMOND settled in the second flight, tracked the pace two wide and between foes along the backstretch, chased two then three wide into the far turn, was no match for the winner into the lane but was a clear second best. NIGHTLY PEACE stumbled at the start, settled three wide early, advanced four wide along the backstretch, chased into the far turn then ran in pursuit five wide to upper stretch, was no match for the top pair in the lane but held safely in the end for third. COMFORT CASH broke alertly, showed early speed and disputed the pace into the backstretch, dueled outside of DRIVING MONEY into the far turn, could not keep pace to upper stretch and weakened in the drive. COMFORTAFTERCHAOS rated off of the early pace, tracked from the second flight and three wide into the backstretch, chased three then four wide nearing the top of the lane, shifted to the rail into the stretch and lacked a late rally. SOUTHERN CAINE off a bit slowly to begin, recovered and settled in the second flight, saved ground into the backstretch, chased from the inside into the far turn, could not find more nearing the top of the lane and gave way. WINTER FINISHES crowded at the start and off slowly, unhurried early on, trailed to the second turn and did not factor in the stretch drive. TOP SHELF B B settled and saved ground to the first turn, kept an inside path along the backstretch run, stopped along the far turn, was eased through the stretch and walked off.
