Chart notes
BLINGO sent to contest the early pace, took a narrow lead along the backstretch and showed the way to the turn, dictated terms off of the rail then dug in nearing the top of the lane, dug in into the stretch and kept to task late. LEAP DAY away in good order, showed speed and pressed the pace outside of BLINGO heading to the turn, battled from the four path into upper stretch, was kept at bay into the lane and held safely at the finish for the place honors. BRANDYN settled in the second flight early on, chased five wide into the turn, maintained a wide path to the stretch, needed more in the late stages but outfinished BLAZING TO GOLD to earn the show. BLAZING TO GOLD off a step slow to begin, recovered and tracked the dueling early leaders while between foes, well placed into the turn, chased two wide to upper stretch, needed more in the drive and was outkicked for the show honors. SPEED BUMP BOB settled in the second flight, chased four wide and between rivals approaching the turn, well placed nearing the top of the lane, lacked the needed response into upper stretch, no late rally. HELD FOR RANSOM off a step slow leaving the start, recovered and chased the early pace from the inside, got caught in tight then steadied approaching the turn, lost position into the bend and did not have a late response. BYE BYE MATTY P hopped then crowded at the start, lacked early speed and trailed into the turn, coaxed from the two then three path nearing the top of the lane, no factor late. STORM LEADER settled in the second flight away from the gate, chased three wide and between foes heading to the turn, dropped back along the bend then tired in the late stages. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT INVOLVING HELD FOR RANSOM ON THE RUN TO THE TURN. THE STEWARDS RULED THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE. Copyright 2026 Equibase Company LLC.
