Chart notes
FIGHTER KITE got away well, stalked the leader switching outside that rival, advanced coming to the top of the stretch making a bid at the three-sixteenths, dueled in upper- to mid-stretch with a narrow advantage drifting in a bit and appearing to exchange incidental contact, edged away late. ALMENDRO got away well, set the pace from off the rail, was challenged by an outside foe turning for home, dueled briefly inside that one appearing to exchange light brushes, yielded grudgingly. DREAMS OF MYFATHER broke a step slowly and outwardly, chased from outside four to five wide into and on the turn, floated seven wide into upper stretch, was no match for the top pair but secured show honors while eased up late. BOLT TO RUN broke a step slowly, was devoid of speed bringing up the rear, raced four to five wide on the turn fanning eight deep into upper stretch and improved position passing rivals outside late. ERIC FROM MIAMI switched out off the inside, went two to three wide between runners on the turn, ran on evenly between foes late. SOX FOR DAUGHTERS chased but lacked speed, saved ground on the turn, was never near enough to threaten. HERE'S WALDO was urged forward between runners early, chased three to four wide on the turn, faded in the stretch.
