FREE AMERICA hopped at the start, pressed the pace in the three path, took command early around the far turn, was roused passing the quarter, forged clear on the left lead in upper stretch, and held safe. DIRBAS stalked in the four path, was ridden in the three path around the turn, ran on down the lane, but was second best. C C'S CLEAR CREEK pressed inside, lost the lead while being cued midway around the turn, faded down the lane, but held show. GREATDAYFORHOCKEY tracked between foes two path, was coaxed midway around the turn, but made no closing bid in the three path down the stretch. WILDERZAR raced off the pace in the four path, was pushed along around the turn, swung from the five path into the lane, but made no impact. STRIKE PRICE laid up close along the rail but retreated.
