Chart notes
GARDEN LEAVE tracked in the four path, was roused to bid from the three path early around the far turn, kicked on to sustain that bid while between foes in the four path down the lane, and inched ahead in the closing stages. ROYALLY BITTER stalked in the three path, was coaxed midway around the far turn, angled out to the five path at the top of the stretch, ran on to bid passing the furlong grounds, and edged out place in the final strides. BOBBY'S GIFT set the pace in the two path up the backstretch, came under pressure midway around the far turn, dug in gamely down the lane, but got caught by an outer pair late to show. BASSCOAT rated in the two path, was ridden into the far turn, and stayed on willingly in the stretch. MOON CHARGER trailed throughout from along the inside. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate times.
