Chart notes
SWEET MAGNOLIA chased early, was ridden in the four path around the turn, fanned out to the six path at the top of the lane, rallied on the left lead, and surged past a drifting inner rival at the wire. SWEET LILIBET dueled for the lead inside, was driven into the turn, held command passing the quarter, ran on from the two path into the stretch, but drifted out in the final furlong against right handed urging, and was nabbed by a late surging outer rival at the wire. LITTLE JUANITA pressed the pace in the three path, was pushed along around the turn, kept on from the three path in upper stretch, but evened out. CALCETINES tracked in the three path, was ridden in the two path around the turn, but made no closing bid from the five path down the stretch. JOIA RARA vied for the lead in the two path, lost ground while tipping to the rail midway around the turn, cut the corner at the top of the lane, but gave way. HEAVENLY CHARM chased in the two path but never menaced, then was eased thru the stretch.
