Chart notes
TAPSTICK saved ground stalking the pace, angled out to be three-wide nearing the quarter pole, took command entering the stretch and quickly drew clear. MY FOOLISH NOTION chased CADENCED racing two-wide, moved up to take the lead nearing the quarter then responded when headed by TAPSTICK entering the stretch but was unable to stay with that one during the drive. FLAMEFIRE raced in the back of the field early, came three-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. CADENCED saved grpund setting the pace to near the quarter pole and weakened. TWICE ENTICED was unhurried, came fur-wide into the stretch but was unable to seriously threaten. JALMOD raced in the middle of the field while two-wide and tired.
