SIX GUN SALLY rated just off of the early pace, was well placed while saving ground into the backstretch, tracked the leaders from the inside heading into the far turn, angled three wide to upper stretch and was set down for the drive, took command past the furlong pole, kicked clear into the final sixteenth and drew away under mild late urging. FROM THE TOP ROPE prominent in the early going, attended to the pace outside of FORBIDDEN LOVER into the backstretch, dueled that foe into the far turn then took command into upper stretch, led to the furlong grounds then was overtaken by the winner, was no match late for SIX GUN SALLY but held well for second. FORBIDDEN LOVER hustled from the gate, assumed a narrow early lead then set the pace to the backstretch, dueled inside of FROM THE TOP ROPE into the far turn, battled into the lane then was outkicked at mid-stretch, shifted out nearing the final sixteenth, was no match late for the winner but fought on to just miss for second and was an easy third. GIFT OF GRACE settled in the early stages, trailed to the half-mile, advanced to the quarter marker, coaxed from the four path to upper stretch, could not impact the leaders in deep stretch and passed tiring foes. SAINTSLUTE forced out at the start, recovered and settled in the second flight to begin, went up to stalk the pace three wide along the backstretch, chased along the far turn then into upper stretch, could not keep pace to the furlong pole and gave way in the drive. EASTER GIFT stumbled at the start then forced out SAINTSLUTE leaving the break, settled to the first turn then never far back along the backstretch, lacked the needed response nearing the quarter marker and weakened in the stretch. SAMANTHA CODE away in good order and close up to the early pace, lost action and pulled up into the first turn, walked off under her own power.
