Chart notes
I AM WHAT I AM settled outside of rivals into the first turn, advanced into the backstretch and was well placed nearing the half-mile, bid three wide nearing the quarter marker, vied from the four path into upper stretch and took command at the furlong pole, dug in to the final sixteenth and held over the game runner-up. HOW ABOUT BOB got crowded a bit away from the start and was off a step slowly, recovered and tracked the early leaders to the backstretch, bid two wide and between foes into the far turn, vied to upper stretch, shifted to the rail into the final furlong, gamely fought to deep stretch and just missed for the win, while besting the rest. MO TOWN GOLD settled while saving ground in the early going, shifted out and advanced two wide along the backstretch, coaxed three then two wide to upper stretch, closed willingly to the final sixteenth, could not reel in the leading pair in deep stretch and was an easy third. SANDTHEFLOOR hustled from the gate, vied for the early lead then took command into the first turn, set decent fractions while making his own pace along the backstretch, led into the far turn then came under pressure at the quarter, met oncoming bids into the stretch, could not keep pace into the final furlong and faded late. LEAVENODOUBT had his head turned at the start then was squeezed at the break and off slowly, unhurried to the backstretch, advanced along the inside into the far turn, coaxed three wide to upper stretch, caught in traffic at the furlong pole, could not muster the needed late response and passed tired foes late. CAPTAIN FLATTER bumped at the start then settled off of the decent early pace, coaxed three wide into the backstretch, made a steady advance to the quarter marker then was set down four wide to upper stretch, could not sustain that run to the final furlong and flattened out. BUCK PIE broke out at the start and crowded outer rival, settled to the first turn, saved ground along the backstretch, coaxed two wide to upper stretch, no late rally. DREWTONIAN sent to be forwardly placed early on, stalked the pace from the inside heading into the backstretch, was well placed while saving ground to the second turn, lost position nearing the quarter marker and tired in the stretch drive.
