Chart notes
BLUEGRASS FAITH showed speed and was close up to the early pace, prompted the pace outside of DANCE MAN to the backstretch, dueled that one to the far turn then took command and shook free nearing the top of the lane, dug in into the stretch drive and held well late to prevail. VINNIEBOB settled while saving ground to the backstretch, kept an inside path to the far turn, bid two wide to upper stretch, shifted back to the rail for the drive, was gaining late, could not get by the winner in deep stretch and held for second. THREE MARTINIS crowded a bit at the start, settled in the second flight and between rivals, well placed to the far turn, bid two then three wide to upper stretch, was gaining in the late stages and just missed for second, while well clear for third. AMERICAN SOLO settled early and trailed to the backstretch, roused three wide into the far turn, swung five wide to upper stretch and could not muster a final response. MISSISSIPPI MAN broke in at the start and was off a step slowly, recovered to be forwardly placed while three wide to the first turn, tracked the pace from outside of the leading pair along the backstretch, chased three then four wide nearing the stretch, could not muster a rally and weakened in the lane. RAPID EXPANSION lunged at the start, was away a bit slowly then settled outside of rivals in the early going, coaxed three to four wide along the backstretch, lacked the needed response into the far turn and did not threaten late. DANCE MAN broke alertly and sent for the early lead, set a prompted pace to the backstretch, dueled BLUEGRASS FAITH into the far turn then was turned away nearing the top of the lane, could not find more into the stretch and gave way.
