Chart notes
DANZA TAXI broke sharply, led under inside pressure from SOMNUS, began to pull away from that one in the final furlong while keeping an outer challenger at bay. SWAGGY GEORGE chased the pace three wide, roused through the turn for a pressing position in the upper stretch but out-finished by the winner. SOMNUS pressed the pace from the inside, flattened out in the final furlong. GALLANT BUCK settled along the inside just behind the top two, shifted out three wide at the top of the lane but could not close. SANTINO'S FANTASY was rated on the inside, got checked back by GALLANT BUCK at the half mile marker, closed some ground in the upper stretch but flattened out in the final furlong. SAFE opted to be the early trailer, gained position four wide through the turn, unable to make any more improvements in the stretch. CANTSTEALMYTHUNDER raced off the pace, never involved. SNOW GLO settled off the pace, steadied hard midway through the turn, retreated.
