Chart notes
CAVA DE ORO pressed the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, took the lead in upper stretch, shook clear into the final furlong and drew away under strong urging. KINGSTON LADY was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, saved ground at the rear, came off the rail in the stretch, gained between horses into the final sixteenth and finished with good energy for the place. ECLAIR N TOT broke a step slow, was urged along well off the pace, swung into the stretch in the five path and improved for the show. TIZ A HERO was hustled from the gate, steadied off heels at the five-eighths pole then moved out, pursued the leader in the four path through the turn and tired. SUL JOURNALIST showed speed then set the pace on the inside of an opponent, vied along the rail on the turn, lost the lead in upper stretch and gave way. LONGSHOT BABY settled on the outside, was roused in the four path on the turn, dropped back into the stretch and failed to respond.
