Chart notes
MUNNY TOWN prompted the pace two wide into the far turn, made the lead nearing the quarter pole, set the balance of the pace, drifted out under left handed urging bumping the runner up two wide deep stretch and prevailed under brisk handling. ASTRO BEAU unhurried early, closed willingly three then two wide drawing on even terms for the lead at the top of the stretch, was bumped twice by the winner inside the sixteenth pole and finished clear for second. WHISKEY POINT stalked the pace inside then two wide and went evenly. LOOKIN LIKE LUCKY failed to menace. LAO WAY was hung four wide into the clubhouse turn, moved closer before a half mile then came up empty. CHALKY'S GOLD was no factor. NYDINI set the pace along the inside for nearly six furlongs then was used up. T' RAY was no threat. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN AND THE RIDER OF ASTRO BEAU LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF THE WINNER FOR INTERFERENCE IN DEEP STRETCH.
