Chart notes
QUARTER RAT tracked the leader in opening stages, engaged SAMURAI PRINCE for the lead at the quarter pole, failed to match strides but remained in striking distance, dug in under firm handling and got up late. SAMURAI PRINCE sped to the lead at the start, set the pace and turned back the bid from QUARTER RAT late on the turn, continued to lead the way into late stages then got edged out nearing the wire. MR NEGATIVITY rated off the top flight, saved ground around the turn, tipped two wide for the drive and ran on for a share. WARREN L raced in the back, swung three wide into the upper stretch and lacked the needed response for serioius impact. CHIEF CHITOZ ,raced in contention between rivals, flattened mid-way around the turn and continued to tire in the drive. SPIRIT'S MISCHIEF was forwardly placed three wide and faded in the lane.
