Chart notes
BAD AND BOOZY broke sharply and was sent to grab the early lead with some early pressure to the outside by a pair of rivals, maintained a clear margin through the turn, then dueled with SHE'S A KTTEN into the stretch well ahead of the rest of the field, got headed by that one in mid-stretch, but fought back gamely and retook the lead in the final yards. SHE'S A KITTEN settled in a stalking position along the rail, bided time to the far turn, then moved up to challenge BAD AND BOOZY for the lead approaching the quarter pole, dueled with that rival into the stretch, appeared to have the upper hand in mid-stretch, but had the resurgent rival come back on and regain the lead in the closing stages. SHERRYS RIDGE tracked three-wide in the second flight, finished up well to gain the third prize. CAHILLS REDEMPTION was two-wide at the back of the field early on, came out five-wide into the stretch, and finished with some late interest without being a serious threat. MAID TO KEEP settled off the pace, made a forward move on the rail through the far turn, was in clear third position turning for home, but could not sustain the bid and was outfinished for a minor award. CHARGENLUCKY tracked close up for the first half-mile, then did not offer a rally in the late stages. HOLIDAY CRUISE settled inside near the back and lacked a finish. NAYAKIM was slow to begin, then pulled three-wide to press for the lead on the first turn, was always close up until late on the far turn, and did not respond when asked to go on in the stretch.
