Chart notes
MON REVE was bumped at the start, stalked the leaders, bid on the turn, took over, responded when roused, drew clear in the lane, was ridden out and in hand late. MS SOPHISTICATION veered in sharply at the gap soon after the start, recovered quickly, tracked inside, advanced between rivals on the turn and rallied for second. ITALY vied two wide for command, led entering the turn, dueled with the winner at the quarter pole, dug in along the rail and held for third. SENZA PIU stalked outside, chased three wide on the turn, lacked a bid and finished evenly. QUALITY OF ESSENCE was bumped at the start and off slowly, raced off the pace inside and gave way. LIFE RAFT vied inside for early lead, then chased on the turn and gave way. After a Stewards' Inquiry into the start, the race was declared official.
