Chart notes
ROYALLY BITTER vied for the lead inside, took back to track passing the half, came under coaxing in the two path early around the far turn, kicked on while tipping out to bid between foes in the three path passing the eighth pole, and inched ahead in the final sixteenth. DOWNTOWN CONNECTOR trailed around the first turn, moved up to stalk in the four path up the backstretch, ranged up to bid midway around the far turn, swung from the five path into the lane, ran on to lead passing the eighth pole, but drifted out in the final sixteenth, and got edged out by an inner rival late. BOBBY'S GIFT prompted the pace in the three path, held a narrow advantage going by the half, was roused in the two path midway around the far turn, fought until the eighth pole, then faded, but was best of the rest. DONTKISSDAMINISTER had an awkward start, laid up close outside of foes in the four path, bid between foes in the three path around the far turn, but weakened in the final furlong. NOT YET CHARLIE dueled for the lead in the three path but yielded from the two path around the far turn. P K WOOD tracked inside, came under pressure while tipping out to the four path entering the far turn, but made no closing bid. HEAT LIGHTNING steadied between foes around the first turn, then was restrained from the four path up the backstretch, came under pressure midway around the far turn, but was empty from the five path down the lane.
