Chart notes
GRACE IS FREE settled nicely while rated off the early pace, picked up the tempo late on the turn, swung three to four wide into upper stretch, came under right handed pressure, responded, cleared the lead past mid-stretch and finished going away. ALWAYS SPITEFUL was forwardly placed soon after the start, moved up mid-way around the turn and held a slim lead going by the quarter pole, widened advantage in upper stretch then failed to hold off the winner approaching the final sixteenth. PRIVATE DEBBIE tracked the pace up the backstretch, raced three wide in aim at the quarter pole, ran on in close contention past mid-stretch then evened out. SONG OF SONGS was off a step slow at the start and remained reserved in the back, saved ground around the turn, hustled along inside down the lane but failed to threaten. SUMMER WINNER showed response in the opening quarter, weakened around the turn and continued to tire in the drive. LEXITHEA set a pressured pace and had nothing left in the lane.
