Chart notes
DEFENDING ALBERT tracked the early pace, had to wait patiently for a clear path around the turn, tipped two wide for the drive, put to a drive, responded gamely, poked a head in front at the eighth pole and edged away under a driving finish. SPRINT OUT PASS was unhurried up the backstretch, remained off the pace around the turn, came under a ride three to four wide at the head of the lane, lacked a clear path past mid-stretch, got clear late and surged to the wire. VALE rated up the backstretch, moved up closer three wide mid-way around the turn, sustained bid down the lane and got edged late for place. HOLIDAY HOUSE settled off the pace, swung five wide into the lane and improved late. FIFTH AVENUE set the pace, took on challenger approaching the quarter pole, fought back into the lane, got collared at the furlong marker and weakened. WOODSPOINT prompted the pace, remained in contention around the turn then gave way. JUSTA STREAK raced in contention along the rail, got in tight quarters and was forced to be taken up sharply entering the turn, quickly dropped back, lost all momentum and never recovered.
