Chart notes
I LIVED MY DREAM vied for the lead soon after the start, continued to battle inside a duo around the turn, shook free to a slim lead in the upper stretch, kept on gamely and held clear. CRUX vied for the early lead, dueled three wide around the turn, could not match strides with the eventual winner at the head of the lane but ran on with response and secured second best. RUN FOR GOLD raced in range, moved around the turn four wide, was set down along the outside for the drive, had a steady gain and finished clear over the rest. MISTER J. P. vied for the early lead, dueled two wide between foes around the turn then gave way. SKIPPED A BEAT raced in range, sat behind a wall of pursuers around the turn, came under a ride in the upper stretch and failed to kick on. AMBROSE raced off the pace, saved ground entering the lane and failed to threaten. MEEKER raced in or near the back, swung three to four wide into the lane and never menaced.
