BENNY BUCKETS saved ground setting the pace and maintained a safe advantage. JULLIAN IN PARIS was reserved off the pace, angled out to be three-wide nearing the eighth pole, could not reach the winner but proved to be second best. BOURBON DANCER prompted the pace racing two-wide to near the stretch and weakened,. SUPERMAX was unhurried while racing racing three-wide and failed to seriously threaten. COASTAL WATERS was allowed to settle racing two=wide but was failed to be a factor. SLEW SKIES saved ground racing in the back and failed to meance.
