Chart notes
FADETHENOISE dueled on the lead from the rail for the first half mile, asserted command in upper stretch opening a clear lead and drew away late. TOP RECRUIT stalked the pacesetters from between rivals down the backside, rallied with a steady bid midway on the turn and closed willingly in the lane to be second best. SPOKE took a short lead early away from the gate, continued to vie on the lead to the quarter pole and weakened in the stretch. GOTTS GOT IT reserved off the pace to the five-sixteenths pole and rallied mildly coming home to hit the board. SAYBROOK tracked the quick pace from three wide for a half and flattened out. JOHNNYFRENCHFRI raced mid-pack from along the fence down the backside, steadied briefly when in tight along the rail at the three-eighths pole and went evenly from there. SHOWDOWN KING was not a factor.
