Chart notes
BEAUTIFUL BLOME settled a few lengths behind the pace, was cued four wide through the far turn, dueled with BROUBON N LACE in the stretch, edged clear late under steady encouragement. BOURBON N LACE chased the top two from a safe distance, closed in up the backstretch, launched a three wide bid to take charge midway through the turn, battled BEAUTIFUL BLOME down the stretch but was outkicked late. AUDIBLY broke slowly, trailed distantly in the early stages, began closing some ground up the backstretch, passed a couple foes five wide through the far turn, chased on down the stretch. WHY NOT GRACE applied heavy pressure to the early pace setter, took charge after the half mile marker, met a couple of outer bids midway through the far turn and gave way, weakened then on. PRINCIPIA quickly set a pressured pace, relinquished command after the half mile marker, retreated through the far turn.
