Chart notes
STONE MAN tracked in contention through early stages, came under a ride going by the quarter pole, swung four paths wide into the upper stretch, dug in three deep late and nailed rival on the wire. GALVANIZER sped to the lead soon after the start, set the pace and held clear around the turn, saved ground turning for home, dug in under firm handling and got caught on the wire. PRINCE AND PENNY raced in range along the outside, angled to the rail and saved ground around the turn, tipped two wide and brushed into ECHOBAYOU in upper stretch, advanced to race in aim between foes late and lacked the needed surge to get by. ECHOBAYOU tracked the leader into the turn, hustled along three paths wide at the head of the lane, got brushed by PRINCE AND PENNY in the upper stretch, ran on briefly then yielded. SAILORMAN was off slow at the start, remained reserved near the back, swung three to four wide into upper stretch, angled in to race two wide and improved. OLE MIKEY BAGELS weakened after opening stages and saved ground around the turn, launched an inside bid at the head of the lane, briefly improved position then failed to move on. BANK SWAP got bumped and forced to steady at the start, raced off the pace, came two wide into the lane and never threatened. MODERN BAND had no response and raced in the back throughout.
