Chart notes
QUARRY prompted the pace in the three path, loomed while waiting confidently outside of an inner pair around the turn, was roused to bid from the four path at the top of the lane, took the lead passing the furlong grounds, and inched ahead. THE HUND set the pace inside, was roused from the rail midway around the turn, dug in gamely from the two path down the stretch, but got edged out in the final furlong to place. RUGGED LOVE rated in the two path, was driven between foes midway around the turn, weaved slightly while angling to the five path in upper stretch, and kept on for show. DIAMOND EYED JACK chased inside, was driven from the rail around the turn, cut the corner entering the stretch, but faded in the final furlong. FLICK pressed between foes in the two path, vied for the lead passing the three-eighths pole, was cued passing the quarter, lost ground at the top of the lane, angled out to the four path, then weakened. DIXIE DEVIL tracked in the three path, came under coaxing passing the three-eighths pole, got carried out to the six path in upper stretch, but made no closing bid. NEIGH BABY was wellback in the three path but never menaced.
