Chart notes

VITALE hustled up into the first turn, quickly took control of the tempo down the backside, scrubbed clear leaving the quarter pole, held sway driving through the wire. SILVER QUARTERS relaxed trailed the field down the back stretch, took aim five wide into the lane, chased on willingly through the final sixteenth, up in time for the place. VERRAZANO FIRST stalked the leader three wide into the far turn, put to task cut the corner into the lane, worked off the inside in upper stretch, undecided on direction altered course inside the leader in deep stretch, stayed on well nipped out for the place. GRAND ILLUSION tracked mid-pack into the far turn, under urging three wide to keep pace leaving the three eighths marker, would not switch leads through the lane, faded through the final sixteenth. TEMPER TANTRUM raced off the pace two and three wide, roused on upper, had no late response. ICE SHARD clean pocket trip along the rail and off the pace into the far turn, under pressure leaving the quarter pole, weakened through the stretch.
