Chart notes
CONNIPTION took a slim lead soon after the start, held firm around the turn, swung two wide entering the head of the lane, responded willingly under right handed pressure, quickly widened to a clear advantage and kept to task. HIGH CLASS LADY tracked three wide in early stages, came under a ride with three furlongs left to run, could not reach the eventual winner but remained in pursuit and finished clearly second best. CRIMSON TAPESTRY tracked the pace along the rail, cut the corner entering the head of the lane, urged along the inside and churned on for a share. BRAXTON'S GIRL was forwardly placed in opening stages, continued in contention two wide around the turn then gave way.
