Chart notes
TWIRLING LULU hustled from the gate, showed the way in hand just off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn patiently handled until set down spinning four wide into upper stretch, edged away to inside the eighth pole, dug in and held safe over a late closing rival. BASEBALL LADY chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then five wide through the turn under a long drive from the half mile pole, went seven to eight wide at the top of the stretch, closed well to latch on the top one as she hit the wire. LESLIE'S STAR chased three then four wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths marker, angled six wide into upper stretch and ran on to the finish and was along well clear of the rest for the show honors. FIFI LA FUME lunged at the break and was away last, chased five then four paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking three wide through the turn coming under encouragement three furlongs from home, angled five wide into upper stretch, offered up a bid and passed tired rivals to the finish. SCORCH struck the off side stall at the start and then bumped MAXISURE, chased three then two wide under a ride from the three-eighths pole, angled out seven wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive. WIDDERSHINS chased three then four wide under urging from the seven-sixteenths marker, tipped five wide at the head of the lane, made no impact. MAXISURE got bumped at the start by SCORCH, who broke outwards, chased four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn ridden along from midway, cornered three wide into upper stretch, tired, and was eased home to the finish.
