Chart notes
ROME'S CONQUEST broke out and bumped foe at the start, rated while never far off the frontend, hustled along three wide nearing the quarter pole, advanced mid-stretch to race in striking distance, dug in under firm handling and got up late. GOLDEN LUNA set the early pace, repelled the bid from FIFTH AVENUE late on the turn, dug in gamely down the lane and got denied late. CYBERTOWN got bumped at the start and remained well reserved up the backstretch, swung five wide for the drive, responded willingly when called upon, gained fast to the wire but ran out of time. SHOULDABOUGHTDABAR was never too far back in early stages, went two wide around the turn, tipped wider for the drive, rallied to the wire but was too late for serious impact. J. P. RACE raced in range along the rail, saved ground around the turn, was set down for the drive but had no kick and ran on evenly. FIFTH AVENUE tracked the early leader into the turn, advanced to challenge rival at the quarter pole, ran on in contention into the final furlong then faded late.
