Chart notes
SWEET CAROL JAMES broke alertly to take command from the gate, opened a clear lead into the turn and maintained that advantage, unthreatened to the wire. GUS'S GAL trailed early, rallied on the turn circling six wide at the top of the stretch and closed wilingly with a belated bid. INTIMATE rallied from off the pace on the turn to threaten in upper stretch and flattened out in the lane going evenly. STARSHIP DISCOVERY tracked the winner down the backside, rallied four wide to loom at the quarter pole and finished evenly. LADY HARRIET saved ground through the turn, angled wide to the clear turning for home and put in a mild bid on the far outswide showing interest in the lane. UNSTABLE MABEL prompted the pace to midway on the turn and tired.
