Chart notes
THE OLD NINE (IRE) dueled for the lead inside PURE MADNESS, fought head to head through the turn, took a narrow lead into the final furlong and inched ahead from that rival to pull the upset. PURE MADNESS took a slim lead over dueling with THE OLD NINE (IRE) up the backstretch, fought on even terms to the stretch, battled through the lane, drifted out a bit late and lacked the needed final kick. SEPTEMBERSIXTYFOUR followed in range from off the rail then three deep leaving the backstretch, remained int he three path to the stretch, finished willingly down the lane and earned the show honors. SIR ROCKET raced up close outside the top pair in hand then moved to the two path, chased between rivals around the bend, took aim in upper stretch but finished evenly late. SHAMROCK GLITTER (FR) rated behind the dueling leaders up the backstretch, hugged the rail around the bend, chased within range into the final furlong, then flattened out late. MUBTADAA chased between rivals then two wide into the turn, angled four wide around the bend while drawing closer, then weakened in the stretch run. YACOWLEF (IRE) dropped back early, saved ground to the stretch and was never a factor.
