Chart notes
PRINCESS VERA broke loose when trying to load pre-race re-treating to the back of the gap, was collared and loaded well on the second try, staalked the leaders from the fence to the quarter pole, tipped out three wide turning for home and closed with a good rally to wear down the pacesetter in the final sixteenth. STYLET set the pace under constant pressure to the quarter pole, shook free in upper stretch and was outfinished late in a game effort. WHEREVER WE ARE broke a step slow to be the early trailer, rallied turning for home from four wide, angled in to the rail midway down the lane and was gaining up the fence late. DUNLOE pressed the leader to the eighth pole and weakened late. NAKED EYE raced in early contention just off the leader, continued to be prominent to mid-stretch and finished evenly lacking a closing bid. VALIANT ENYA raced near the rear of the field for the first half, made a brief bid at the head of the stretch and flattened out. NAUGHTY FAVORS was not a factor.
