Chart notes
BAYTOWN STORM unhurried early to be the trailer, made a steady advance closing the gap to the quarter pole, set sights on the leader midway down the lane to engage that one nearing the sixteenth pole and dueled to the wire in a determined drive to be up in the final stride. COCKTAIL KISSES tracked the leaders for the first five eighths, swung out rallying five wide at the quarter pole to quickly assume command, was clear in upper stretch, responded well when challenged by the winner and was overtaken in the final jumps. ROCK TUNE rated in mid-pack for the first half mile, rallied four wide on the turn to take a brief lead nearing the quarter pole and finished evenly unable to sustain the bid coming home. SUMMER FOREVER passed tiring rivals in the stretch. LUCY PLAYA prompted the pace down the backside, rallied between rivals on the far turn to threaten and flattened out at the quarter pole. SLAINTE MHATH set the pace to the faar turn and stopped when engaged on the bend.
