Chart notes
THOMPSON dropped back early, had a good inside bid near the eighth pole and drew off to be well clear under strong handling. WINTER FALCON chased the pace from the inside and kept on willingly to the wire. AWESOME CRUSADER saved ground through the far turn, tipped out four wide near the three sixteenths pole and finished willingly to the wire. OUR BOLD PRINCE mid pack, four wide into the upper stretch and had no final winning bid. DRILL'S LI'L MAN saved ground and never threatened. MENDELJOHN (IRE) failed to respond. GREAT KING (FR) sharp early speed, injured and was removed from the track by an equine ambulance.
