Chart notes
GOOD NEWS ROCKET disputed the early pace racing three-wide, took the lead nearing the quarter pole and gradually drew clear. GONZALO was allowed to settle, moved up three-wide nearing the quarter pole, rallied four-wide into the stretch and finished well in a steady effort. QUAHOG REPUBLIC was unhurried early, came three-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. MENCKE vied for the lead from between DIO DOUBLE GEE and GOOD NEWS ROCKET and weakened. BOYD'S BAND settled in the middle of thje field, came two-wide into the stretch and went evenly late. DIO DOUBLE GEE vied for the lead from along the inside to near the quarter pole and tired. MIGRATORY raced in the back of the field, came three-wide into the stretch and was not a factor.
