Chart notes
MONTY'S INN broke a half-step slowly then unhurriedly brought up the rear racing off the rail, was forced outside rivals beginning to pick up steam late on the turn, swung six wide into upper stretch, rallied outside and got up in time. PRETTY GOOD JOKE quickly moved to the lead to set the pace, edged clear late up the backstretch, extended the advantage leaving the turn when asked and in upper stretch, began noticeably weakening thereafter while drifting out late under left-handed urging, proved no match for the winner but was second best. EPISODE shifted in early advancing to mid-division, pulled a bit from off the rail between runners in the second flight into the turn, asked for run passing the quarter pole, altered out near the furlong marker, kept on late. ATLANTIC PASSAGE settled at the rear shifting in early, saved some ground on the turn inside a foe but just off the fence, came out a little turning into upper stretch, was forced out several more paths in mid- to late-stretch, kept on from between runners to get up for the minor award. MISS STRAWBERRY chased from outside the second flight racing mostly three to four wide, ran on evenly. KIMBERLINA broke on top but was soon outpaced, raced outside a foe off the pace in the early going, went mostly three wide on the turn, swung into upper stretch five deep, was forced out a bit in mid-stretch, needed more to threaten. TANZANITE LILY shifted in, saved ground on the turn, came out in mid-stretch, ran on. BEDTIME was strongly urged from the break, chased the leading pair inside, failed to rally. SHINING SILVER chased the pace from outside, went about three wide, came up empty.
