Chart notes
JACKMAN took a narrow early lead inside, led clear in the two path on the far turn while racing comfortably, responded when asked into upper stretch, and held clear under a mild drive late. DUAL MONARCHY tracked the leading pair early outside of COASTAL KID, edged closer three wide around the turn, chased on with interest between horses into the lane, and ran on a clear second best. ARROGANCY gave JACKMAN brief early pace pressure, chased that foe into the turn, was engaged from both the inside and the outside in the chasing flight near the five sixteenths, continued between horses into the lane, shifted out midstretch, and chased on mildly to prove best of the rest. HAPPY DANCER raced at the rear early, was urged to rally three and then four wide on the turn, came out in upper stretch, and lacked the needed kick. COASTAL KID tracked the leading pair inside of DUAL MONARCHY, was urged inside that foe into the turn, was driven inside foes to continue giving chase in the lane and flattened out in the final furlong.
