Chart notes
NO ORDINARY TIGER was close-up racing along the inside, steadied lacking room at the five-eighths pole and quarter pole, angled out to be four-wide into the stretch, took the lead nearing the eighth pole and gradually drew clear. GREAT RUNNER vied for the lead with TOPPERS AT SEASIDE, responded to pressure during the drive and held on gamely for the place. LIGHT THE BEAM was allowed to settle, came three-wide into the stretch, angled in nearing the eighth pole and finished in a mild rally. TOPPERS AT SEASIDE vied with GREAT RUNNER for the lead into the stretch from along the inside and weakened. TWIRLING DERBY was forwardly placed racing three-wide, came five-wide into the stretch and lacked a rally. MOUNT PELLIAR saved ground racing in the back of the field and failed to threaten.
